Born and raised in Lisbon, Portugal, Tony came to England in the early 70s to escape a 4-year conscription to the Portuguese army and to pursue a musical career, as his country entered the final chapter of its global empire. Things looked promising at first, after writing the two main music titles of “The Joker is Wild” album by “The Sensational Alex Harvey Band”, but royalties disappeared somewhere in transit… and with a young family, it was back to reality.
With the end of his first marriage, Tony travelled the World extensively, working and living in four Continents, facilitated by his fluency in five major languages. This greatly enriched his understanding of people from all backgrounds, races and creeds, turning him into a knowledgeable, straight forward communicator.
